Apify vs BeReach: general data platform or LinkedIn meetings? (2026)

Apify pulls data from any website with thousands of Actors. BeReach finds the people who just showed interest, tells you which ones are worth your time, and writes the first line you approve before it goes out from your own account. One gives you raw data, the other gives you conversations.

In short

  • 1"Apify is a general web data platform; BeReach is a LinkedIn lead-to-meeting system."
  • 2"Apify gives you raw data to process yourself; BeReach hands you the people worth your time and a first line you approve."
  • 3"BeReach covers finding the people, judging them, writing the first line and sending it, in one system at EUR 99/mo flat."
  • 4"Choose Apify if you need multi-site data extraction; choose BeReach if LinkedIn meetings are the goal."

Who Apify is for, and who BeReach is for

Apify is for someone who needs data off the open web, from many sites, on their own terms. Thousands of pre-built Actors, your own code if you want it, and LinkedIn as one platform among hundreds.

BeReach is for someone who wants LinkedIn conversations. It finds the people who just showed interest, tells you which ones are worth your time, writes the first line, and sends it from your own account once you approve it.

They only overlap in one place: finding people on LinkedIn. Everything either side of that is a different job.

The honest difference: rows in a dataset, or people with a reason attached

Apify has been around since 2015 and has built serious data infrastructure.

Thousands of pre-built tools. The Apify Store lists more than 55,000 Actors (Apify Store, checked August 2026). LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Maps, Amazon, TikTok, real estate. If a website exists, there is probably an Apify Actor for it. This breadth is unmatched by any LinkedIn-focused tool.

Multi-platform data pipelines. Chain tools that pull from LinkedIn, Google Maps, and company websites into one unified dataset. For research projects that span multiple platforms, Apify handles this natively.

Developer-friendly. Build custom tools in JavaScript or Python. Flexible output formats, webhooks, and data warehouse integrations. Full control for engineering teams.

Enterprise infrastructure. Proxy management, compute scaling, scheduled runs, cloud execution at scale.

Generous free tier. $5 in platform credit per month per account, no credit card needed. Enough to test most tools. Paid plans run Starter $29/mo, Scale $199/mo and Business $999/mo, each billed monthly per account and each including the same dollar amount in platform credit (about 10 percent less on annual billing).

On LinkedIn specifically, Apify pulls data together and stops there. No judgement about who is worth writing to, no prioritisation, no first line, no reply tracking, no workflow. You get rows in a dataset, not a plan for who to talk to next. Build a list of 1,000 profiles with Apify and you still have to work out who matters and what to say, and whatever tool you use next will not share the same data or deduplication.

BeReach covers the path from a sentence to a sent message:

It finds the right people. Search people, companies, jobs and posts in public data, then build a focused list.

It spots who just showed interest. People who liked, commented on, or posted about something relevant to you, so the first line has something real to say.

It tells you who is worth your time. It reads public profiles and activity, grades each person against the customer you described, and shows you the sentence explaining why.

It writes the first line. Connection notes, messages and replies, one per person. You review and approve every draft, and approved messages go out from your own account.

It keeps the replies in one place. List, read and search your conversations, with an unread count so nothing sits untouched.

It keeps the follow-ups moving. Drafts, pending conversations and next steps in one queue, so you always know who to write to next.

It tracks performance. Engagement on your own posts, your follower count, and your company page analytics.

Built-in CRM (0 credits). Contacts, campaigns, search and stats, all at zero credit cost, in the same place as everything else.

An API to build on. An agentic API for outreach with webhooks for real-time reply notifications, agent state persistence for AI integrations, and multi-account management under a single key.

You say it once: "Heads of product at fintech companies who engage with content about user onboarding, and write a note for each one." It does the legwork and hands you the drafts. Nothing to configure, no data to move between tools, and you stay in control of every send.

Apify gives you a spreadsheet of profiles. BeReach gives you conversations with people who just showed interest in your topic. The difference is context, and context is measurable: according to Belkins' 2026 study of 15.1 million touchpoints, warm LinkedIn outreach replied at 12.2 percent against 7.9 percent for cold.

What you give up either way

What you give up with Apify:

  • Everything after the data. No judgement about who is worth writing to, no first line, no reply tracking, no follow-up queue.
  • One place for it all. Whatever you use to write and send will not share Apify's data or its deduplication.
  • A LinkedIn-shaped answer. Actors are community-built and vary in quality and upkeep, and LinkedIn is one platform among thousands rather than the product.

What you give up with BeReach:

  • Multi-platform data. Instagram, Google Maps, Amazon, TikTok, and thousands more. BeReach is LinkedIn only.
  • Custom tool development. Building your own Actors in JavaScript or Python.
  • Enterprise data infrastructure. Proxy pools, compute scaling, data warehousing integrations.
  • Email finding. Community Actors for contact enrichment.

If your work spans multiple platforms, Apify covers that.

Feature by feature

These are the rows where the two tools actually diverge, Apify on the left and BeReach on the right. Start with the first three rows, because they decide what you have to hand over before any of this runs.

Extra fee per LinkedIn toolSometimes. Curious Coder's LinkedIn people search scraper lists $20.00/month plus usage on top of your plan (Apify Store, checked August 2026). Other Store Actors for the same job are usage-priced with no monthly feeNo. Every LinkedIn capability is in the plan price
Free trial of a paid planNone published. There is a free tier instead3 days
Team seats includedNot published. Apify lists no seat count and no seat chargeNot seat-priced. The plan covers the whole workspace

One thing to check before you build on a Store Actor: according to Apify's own store documentation, checked in August 2026, the rental pricing model that several LinkedIn Actors use is being retired on a published 2026 timetable. Since 1 April, no new rental Actors can be published and existing ones cannot be repriced, which is why Apify's publishing docs now list only pay per event and pay per usage for new Actors. On 1 October, rental retires fully and anything still on it moves to pay per usage. If the LinkedIn Actor you depend on still charges a monthly rental, ask its developer what it moves to.

For LinkedIn, BeReach's free list-building tools replace the $29/month Starter plan you would otherwise need on Apify. At €99/month billed monthly you get the list, the judgement about who is worth writing to, and the first line, which would take several tools to approximate with Apify. The AI is included in every plan, so there is no API key to bring and no separate AI bill on top of your monthly rate. Current plans, account limits, and the free tier live on the BeReach pricing page. You can replace the LinkedIn sourcing half right now with our free LinkedIn people search tool.

What a team of one, three or five actually pays

Neither tool charges per seat, so the thing to look for is not headcount. It is which number moves: on Apify the bill moves with how much you extract, on BeReach it moves with how many LinkedIn accounts you connect.

ScenarioApify monthlyBeReach monthlyNote
1 person, 1 LinkedIn account$29 Starter, plus usage above the included $29 of platform credit€99 Pro, covers 2 LinkedIn accountsApify's $29 is a plan fee with $29 of credit inside it. Compute, proxy and any Actor fee are drawn from that credit, and the remainder expires at the end of the cycle
3 people, 3 LinkedIn accounts$29 Starter, the same fee, plus usage. No seat charge is published€199 Max, covers 3 LinkedIn accountsHeadcount is not Apify's billing axis, volume is. Three people extracting three times as much burn through the included credit three times as fast
5 people, 5 LinkedIn accounts$29 Starter still, or $199 Scale once usage outgrows the Starter credit, plus usage above the included amount€299 Max+, covers 5 LinkedIn accountsApify's step up is triggered by consumption, never by headcount. BeReach's step up is triggered by connected LinkedIn accounts, and the price is the same whether one person or five people use it

Billing basis: Apify is billed monthly per account, and annual billing takes 10 percent off, so $26, $179 and $899 a month. Included platform credit does not roll over and expires at the end of each billing cycle. BeReach is billed monthly at a flat rate per workspace, not per seat, and the plan is keyed to connected LinkedIn accounts: Pro €99 for 2, Max €199 for 3, Max+ €299 for 5.

For multi-platform data, Apify is the only choice. BeReach does LinkedIn and nothing else.

When to pick which

Pick Apify if:

  • You need data from multiple websites, not just LinkedIn
  • You're building data pipelines for research or enrichment
  • Your team has developers building custom tools
  • You need enterprise-scale data infrastructure

Pick BeReach if:

  • LinkedIn is your primary channel and you want the whole workflow in one place
  • You want the list, the judgement and the first line in one platform
  • You're building AI-powered LinkedIn workflows (agent state, webhooks)
  • You prefer flat pricing over usage-based billing
  • You want warm outreach that turns interest into actual conversations

Use both if:

  • BeReach for LinkedIn (find the people, know who is worth your time, get the first line). Apify for everything else (Instagram, Google Maps, websites). They complement each other perfectly.

The honest take

Apify is the best general-purpose data platform available. If you need data from multiple websites, it's hard to beat.

But for LinkedIn specifically, Apify only scratches the surface - literally. It hands you data and leaves the rest to you. BeReach covers the entire LinkedIn workflow: find the right people in public data, build lists, know which ones are worth your time and why, get the first line written, and keep replies and analytics in one place. You review every message and send it from your own account. All for a flat €99/month billed monthly, covering 2 connected LinkedIn accounts.

If you just need public profile data in a spreadsheet, Apify works. If you want that data turned into meetings, BeReach is the complete platform. You can see how BeReach measures up against other LinkedIn tools on our comparison page.

FAQ

How does BeReach compare to Apify for LinkedIn?

BeReach covers the whole LinkedIn workflow: finding the right people in public data, building the list, telling you which ones are worth your time, writing the first line that goes out from your own account only after your approval, plus reply management and analytics. Apify offers community-built LinkedIn tools that pull data and stop there. BeReach finds, judges and writes. Apify is data only.

What does BeReach's AI agent do?

It handles everything before the send. It finds the people who just showed interest, reads their public profiles, tells you which ones are worth your time and why, and writes the first line for each. You review each draft and send it from your own account. The value is in the calls it makes: who to contact, what to say, and when.

Are BeReach's list-building tools really free?

Yes. Eight LinkedIn tools - search posts, people, companies, jobs, likes, comments, and more. Free forever, no account needed, export to CSV. They cover most LinkedIn list-building use cases.

Can I build on the BeReach API like I can with Apify?

Yes. The BeReach API is an agentic API for outreach that supports n8n, Make, Zapier, and direct REST calls. It includes webhooks for real-time reply notifications, agent state persistence for AI integrations, and multi-account management. For LinkedIn-specific products, it's more complete than anything you could build with Apify Actors.

Can I use Apify and BeReach together?

Yes. BeReach handles all the LinkedIn work: the list, who is worth your time, and the first line. Apify handles data from other platforms. Some teams use Apify to enrich BeReach leads with data from non-LinkedIn sources.
