What Apollo is great at, and where LinkedIn stops being automatic
Apollo describes itself as "an AI GTM system that unifies data, intelligence, and execution". Its core is a contact database: "Access 240M contacts & 30M companies", says its pricing page (read 3 October 2026). Around it sit email sequences, a deliverability suite with email warmup, a dialer, intent topics, job-change enrichment, an AI assistant and a Chrome extension that shows contact details on LinkedIn profiles. When an Apollo verified email bounces within 30 days, Apollo gives the credit back (Apollo help). If you need verified emails and phone numbers at volume, it does that job well, and it has a $0 tier to start on.
LinkedIn is where it stops. Apollo's help centre, verbatim: "LinkedIn tasks need to be manually completed, like by manually visiting a contact profile to send a connection request. Apollo doesn't automatically complete LinkedIn tasks for you." (Complete LinkedIn tasks in a sequence, updated 18 August 2026). That is the gap this page is about: who does the LinkedIn work, what the whole bill is, and what each tool does for you in 2026.
The Chrome extension and the LinkedIn tasks you still do by hand
The first pillar, automation, and it is where the hours go.
On Apollo, a LinkedIn step is a reminder. A sequence can hold four LinkedIn task types: "Send connection request", "View profile", "Interact with post" and "Send message". When one comes due, "Apollo reminds the assignee to complete the task by visiting LinkedIn to take action" (Apollo help). The Chrome extension helps you research and save people while you are on LinkedIn, but "Bulk prospecting actions from Sales Navigator search results aren't supported", and "Prospecting with the extension may use credits depending on the action you take" (Chrome extension overview). No Apollo plan connects a LinkedIn account to send from (pricing).
BeReach: finds people from what they just did, writes one message each, and sends after your yes
On BeReach you agree the search plan, approve the messages, and it takes it from there: it sends the invitations, waits for each acceptance, and delivers your approved message, every day, at the pace each account can carry.
- Find. Describe who you sell to in your own words. BeReach plans the searches, runs them live on public data, and says so when nobody matches instead of padding the list. It starts from what people just did, a comment, a post, a new role, and it can collect the people who liked or commented on a post. Thousands of people can be found in minutes. Read how it can find the people from what they just did in public.
- Write. It reads each person's profile, company and recent posts and writes one first message for each of them, with the AI built in.
- Approve. You read the drafts and approve them, one by one or in a batch. That is your part.
- Send. BeReach sends the invitations every day, waits for each acceptance and delivers your approved message within your list's hours. You never set a pace: it spaces every invitation and message for each account, slows a new account down on its own, and stops writing to anyone who replies.
Every reply lands in your inbox and the chat, and you answer it yourself or with the assistant's draft. BeReach sends one first message per person, not a multi-step sequence.
How far a week goes is set by LinkedIn's own ceiling for each account. BeReach finds thousands of people in minutes, then works through them every day at the pace each account carries: two accounts on Pro, three on Max, up to five on Max+, which is about 200 invitations a week on Pro, 300 on Max and 500 on Max+.
Less searching.
More conversations.
Tell Vera who you want to reach. Review the first message. Take it from there.
Ask Vera to find leadsApollo pricing per month: what it really costs for 1, 2, 3 and 5 users
The second pillar. Apollo bills per user seat, and each seat carries a monthly credit allowance that the data and the AI both draw on. BeReach bills per plan: EUR 99 a month billed monthly (EUR 79 a month billed yearly) for two LinkedIn accounts, the AI that writes every message, the lead search, the Claude and ChatGPT connector and the API, from one monthly allowance with nothing to top up and no key to bring. A top-tier AI model is built in, with no model to pick, and when a BeReach search finds nobody it says so and gives the credits back.
| Users or LinkedIn accounts | Apollo Basic, monthly / yearly (per month) | Apollo Professional, monthly / yearly (per month) | Apollo Organization, yearly only (per month) | BeReach, monthly / yearly (per month) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $65 / $49 | $99 / $79 | $357 (3 seats minimum) | EUR 99 / EUR 79, $119 / $99 (Pro, 2 accounts included) |
| 2 | $130 / $98 | $198 / $158 | $357 (3 seats minimum) | EUR 99 / EUR 79, $119 / $99 (Pro) |
| 3 | $195 / $147 | $297 / $237 | $357 | EUR 199 / EUR 159, $239 / $189 (Max) |
| 5 | $325 / $245 | $495 / $395 | $595 | EUR 299 / EUR 239, $359 / $289 (Max+) |
| Sends on LinkedIn | No, you do it | No, you do it | No, you do it | Yes, from your own accounts |
What a seat's price does not cover:
- Credits past the allowance. Each seat gets credits every month (75 on the $0 tier, 2,500 on Basic, 4,000 on Professional, 6,000 on Organization), pooled across the team, and "Credits reset at the start of each new billing cycle and do not roll over if unused" (pricing). A verified email takes 1 credit and a mobile number 8. Extra credits cost $0.025 each, falling to $0.015 at the largest volumes, and they expire with the cycle too.
- The AI, credit by credit. "Each AI research run costs one credit. Apollo counts one AI research run for each record and each column you enrich": ten contacts with three columns each is thirty credits (AI Research). The AI assistant, AI custom fields and the AI email writer draw on credits as well (credit usage), and Apollo's agents have a "Credit approval" setting for "how many credits the agent can use in a single run before Apollo asks you to approve additional credit usage" (Agents).
- Add-ons. Inbound and the Advanced Dialer are $149 a month each billed monthly, $119 billed yearly (pricing); calls also spend credits by the minute.
- The LinkedIn work itself, which stays with you.
Billing basis: Apollo prices are in USD per user seat, read on apollo.io/pricing on 3 October 2026. Basic is $65 a month billed monthly or $49 a month billed yearly, Professional $99 or $79, and Organization $119 a month billed yearly only, with three seats minimum; the totals above are the seat price times the number of users. BeReach prices are from BeReach pricing: Pro EUR 99 ($119), Max EUR 199 ($239) and Max+ EUR 299 ($359) a month billed monthly, or EUR 948, EUR 1,908 and EUR 2,868 a year billed yearly. Euro and dollar amounts are not converted. BeReach counts LinkedIn accounts and Apollo counts users, so each row sets one user against one LinkedIn account.
Read honestly: Apollo's $0 tier costs less at any size, and Basic costs less at one, three and five users (and at two, billed yearly). Against Professional, BeReach costs less from two: $119 against $198 at two, $239 against $297 at three, $359 against $495 at five, billed monthly. At one user, Professional is $99 against $119. What holds at every row is what the price includes: on Apollo the AI and every revealed contact are metered in credits and the LinkedIn sending is yours to do; on BeReach the search, the AI and the sending come from one allowance. For the LinkedIn tools, see LinkedIn automation pricing after the add-ons.
Results and the 2026 setup
The third pillar. BeReach's own figures, as the site states them: 65% of connection requests accepted (industry average is 21%), a 22% reply rate across active campaigns, and 1,000+ teams joined this year. One customer, Jawad F., Sales Lead at Renault: "We replaced two SDRs with BeReach. Three times the meetings, a fifth of the cost."
Both tools work with Claude, and they do different jobs there:
| In Claude | Apollo | BeReach |
|---|---|---|
| What the connector does | Search, enrichment and sequences, and enrolling contacts in email sequences | 27 tools to find people, read their profiles and posts, draft and send on LinkedIn what you approve |
| What it spends | "Everything runs on your existing Apollo permissions, plan limits, and credit balance" | The same one monthly allowance as the rest of BeReach |
| What it needs | A sign-in with a work email ("Free or personal email addresses ... aren't supported"); any Claude subscription, free included | Any BeReach plan; on the Claude side, a plan that supports custom connectors |
Apollo's connector facts are from its Claude integration article, updated 1 October 2026. Any other agent gets the same as BeReach's connector through the API and webhooks. For the wider picture of what each sales connector can do in Claude, see Claude for sales. If you want to see the search side first, the free people search runs on the same public data.
Apollo reviews: what users complain about most
On Capterra Apollo holds 4.5 from 398 reviews, and on Trustpilot 3.1 from 1,346 reviews, where 46% are five stars and 36% one star (both read 3 October 2026). The repeated complaints, each answered by the pillar it touches:
- Credits that run out. "Some contact information is outdated and credit runs out quickly with heavy usage" (Abhishek Y., Database Executive, Capterra, July 2026), and "Unclear pricing, forced waterfall verification, slow email access, and excessive credit consumption" (Rafay A., Capterra, January 2026). On BeReach one monthly allowance covers the search, the AI and every send, with nothing to top up.
- Wrong numbers. "They have associated wrong numbers with wrong business." (Bradley, Trustpilot, September 2026). BeReach sells no phone numbers: it writes to people on LinkedIn, and its search says so when nobody matches instead of padding the list.
- Volume that books nothing. "Sent 10000s of emails and did not get a single meeting after 5 months of being on their premium plan." (Montana, Trustpilot, September 2026). BeReach writes one message for each person from their profile and recent posts, and nothing goes out until you approve it.
Side by side
| Apollo | BeReach | |
|---|---|---|
| Who finds the people | You filter its database; each revealed email or number takes credits | BeReach, from your own words and what people just did |
| Who does the LinkedIn work | You do: it reminds you to send each invitation and message | You approve; BeReach sends every invitation and message |
| 2 people, billed monthly | $130 Basic or $198 Professional | EUR 99 / $119, 2 LinkedIn accounts, everything included |
| What costs extra | Credits past each seat's allowance, the AI's research by the cell, Inbound and Dialer at $149 a month each | Nothing: one monthly allowance, nothing to top up |
| In Claude | Searches, enriches and enrols contacts in email sequences | Finds, drafts and sends on LinkedIn what you approve |
| Emails and phone numbers | Yes, its core | No |
| Email sequences and dialer | Yes | No |
When Apollo is still the right buy
If your outreach is email and phone at volume, Apollo is built for it and BeReach is not: BeReach gives you no email addresses and no phone numbers, runs no email sequence and has no dialer. If you only need a few contacts a month, Apollo's $0 tier and Basic seat cost less. You can keep Apollo for email data and add BeReach beside it for LinkedIn. BeReach is the choice when your buyers answer on LinkedIn and you want that part done for you, not reminded to you. Weighing the sequencers too? How to switch: bring your Apollo list in
- Export it from Apollo. Saved contacts export as a CSV, which "may require export credits, depending on your Apollo plan" (Apollo help). Or keep their LinkedIn profile links.
- Drop it into BeReach. Drop the CSV or paste the links, or describe who you want and let BeReach find them.
- Approve, and it runs. BeReach writes one first message for each person, and once you approve, sends at each account's pace.
BeReach has a 14-day trial with 2,000 credits, and nothing is charged before day 15. Weighing other tools too? The full list of tool comparisons puts BeReach next to each one.
FAQ
Is there a cheaper alternative to Apollo for LinkedIn?
It depends on the plan you compare. Apollo's $0 tier and its Basic seat ($65 a month billed monthly) cost less than BeReach for one user, but neither sends anything on LinkedIn. Against Apollo Professional, BeReach costs less from two people: $119 against $198 a month billed monthly, $239 against $297 for three, $359 against $495 for five, with the search, the AI and the LinkedIn sending included.
Does Apollo send LinkedIn messages automatically?
No. Apollo's help centre says "LinkedIn tasks need to be manually completed" and "Apollo doesn't automatically complete LinkedIn tasks for you": a sequence reminds you, and you send the invitation or message yourself. BeReach sends the invitations and your approved messages from your own LinkedIn accounts.
Can I use Apollo and BeReach together?
Yes. You can keep Apollo for email data and email sequences and use BeReach for LinkedIn. Export your saved contacts from Apollo as a CSV, or keep their profile links, and bring them into BeReach, which writes one first message for each person and sends once you approve.
How many credits does Apollo give per user?
Per user seat a month: 75 on the $0 tier, 2,500 on Basic, 4,000 on Professional and 6,000 on Organization, pooled across the team and reset each billing cycle without rolling over. A verified email takes 1 credit, a mobile number 8, and each AI research cell 1 (as read on apollo.io on 3 October 2026).
How much does Apollo cost per month?
Per user seat, as read on apollo.io on 3 October 2026: Basic is $65 a month billed monthly or $49 billed yearly, Professional $99 or $79, and Organization $119 a month billed yearly only, with three seats minimum. There is also a $0 tier with 75 credits. Credits past each seat's allowance cost $0.025 each at the smallest volume, and Inbound and the Advanced Dialer are $149 a month each billed monthly. None of these plans sends on LinkedIn for you.
Is there an alternative to the Apollo Chrome extension for LinkedIn?
Yes, if what you want is the sending rather than the data overlay. Apollo's extension shows and saves contact details while you browse LinkedIn, and Apollo's help centre says "Bulk prospecting actions from Sales Navigator search results aren't supported". With BeReach you do not browse: you describe who you want, it finds them on public data, writes one message each, and sends the invitations and approved messages from your own LinkedIn accounts.
What do Apollo users complain about most?
Credits that run out and do not roll over, and data that is sometimes wrong, phone numbers above all. On Trustpilot, 36% of its 1,346 reviews are one star; on Capterra it holds 4.5 from 398 reviews (both read 3 October 2026).
Does BeReach send follow-ups like an Apollo sequence?
No. BeReach sends one first message per person, once they accept your invitation. Every reply lands in your inbox and the chat, and you answer it yourself or with the assistant's draft.
Does BeReach work in Claude?
Yes, on every plan. BeReach plugs into Claude, ChatGPT and more as a connector: 27 tools to find people, read their profiles and posts, draft and send what you approve. On the Claude side you need a plan that supports custom connectors. Any other agent gets the same through the API and webhooks.
