Your ideal customer
Build a reusable ICP once in a short guided setup, see who it keeps on a small public sample, and pick it for any chat.
Your ideal customer profile (ICP) is who you actually want to reach. In BeReach it is the yardstick every person gets measured against, so only real fits land on your list. You build it once in a short guided setup, then reuse it. It all works with nothing connected.
What an ICP is
An ICP answers one question: who is worth your time? You do not write filters, boolean strings, or a long form. The agent learns your business, turns that into an ICP, and uses it to judge each person it finds from public data across the open web.
How you build one
You build your ICP in a short guided setup:
- The agent learns your business. It reads your site or asks you a few questions about who you are and what you sell.
- It proposes a couple of named ICP options. Each one is a different customer worth pursuing, described in plain terms.
- You pick one. That becomes a reusable profile you can name and come back to.
You do not hand-write criteria. You react to what the agent proposes, which is faster and usually sharper. A proposed option reads like this:
Scaling founders: founders and heads of sales at B2B software companies with 10 to 80 employees, especially ones hiring their first sales rep.
See it before you trust it
Before you commit, the agent test-tunes your ICP on a small public sample. It pulls a handful of real people and shows you who it keeps and who it sets aside, with a short reason for each. Kept someone it should not have, or set aside someone good? Tell it and it adjusts. All of this runs on public data, with nothing connected.
Do not overthink the first version
Your ICP does not have to be perfect on day one. The agent tunes it on a real sample so you can see how it behaves, and you refine it from there. A profile you tune once becomes the starting point for the next audience you want to reach.
Reuse it across chats
Your ICP is not tied to one chat. Once you have a profile you like, pick it at the start of any chat and the agent qualifies against it right away. Refine it as you learn what a good reply looks like, and later chats follow the update.
If you would rather not filter, choose "qualify everyone" and the agent reviews each person it finds without setting anyone aside.
How the agent uses it
Once your ICP is set, the agent qualifies every person against it before anything is drafted. It reads what is public about the person and their company, weighs it against your profile, and moves only real fits forward. People who do not match are set aside, not messaged.
That keeps your list full of relevant people instead of noise. You still review and approve every message before it goes out.
